Savannah has a new fascination with my "frankenstein" shoes. Everyday she gets them out of my closet and tries to walk in them. Of course, she doesn't make it too far so she usually switches to my alpaca slippers instead. I keep those spare sunglasses in my nightstand and she has to put them on as well. She also loves to wear the necklaces and bracelets which are hanging on my wall. I need to make her some dress up clothes and see what she does with them. She is too cute! I trimmed her bangs and the back of her hair and I can't believe how different she looks. I don't think anyone besides me notices the difference though.
Annie still has a runny nose and cough and this afternoon she started running a fever. It's like pulling teeth to get her to take her medicine. Hopefully she gets feeling better soon. Last night she refused to lay down in her crib - she just wanted to be held. I started getting frustrated, but then I realized there are a lot of people who would kill to have their baby call out for "mom" and hug them tight. I am very lucky and if it doesn't bother me to share my bed, who cares?!
I'm still working on some new tricks with Savannah. I know - it sounds like I'm training a dog, but what else do I have to do? She loves to look at the saying under her picture and point to all the letters. Now I can write a capital "B" on her Pro-doodle and she'll tell me what it is. Sometimes she can identify an "i" or "W" as well. Someday you'll see my little genius on the Today show!! For now, you'll have to settle for watching her watch cartoons. Love and miss you all!
