My Girl Rocks!!!

I am so proud of my little girl! Earlier this evening Savannah went in the backyard to play. After a few minutes she came back in, picked up her princess potty and carried it out back. After one false alarm, she sat down and pooped! Then just a couple minutes ago, she actually pulled her panties down and went pee by herself! She has never gone completely on her own! I am one proud peacock! Mind you, yesterday I was going to beat her. She went to card group with me and peed and pooped her pants. I told her she was naughty and couldn't watch TV all night. I guess that punishment worked!

I am also very amused by Annie. She is totally into knock knock jokes. Usually she just makes up some word that makes no sense. Tonight when I asked who's there, she said tissue. Tissue who? Do you need a tissue to get the boogies out of your nose? It was pretty funny. At dinner she decided she didn't want nachos. She pushed her plate away and said, "Mommy I want some different food." I'm sure the time will come when I won't find that so amusing, but tonight I laughed. I hope you all find something to laugh about too.

More fun in the sun

I need to do some catching up, so I'm going back a while. I bought Savannah a Wow Wow Wubbzy puzzle and she loves it. You can't believe how well she can put it together on her own. Of course, sometimes she gets frustrated and just throws it on the floor. She must be a perfectionist like her mommy!
A few weekends ago we met the Ruff's at Lake Havasu. Annie had a blast playing with Morgan and Mason, or "Morgie" and "my little brother" as she called them. We bought her a new lifejacket and she was swimming like a fish! (She gets that from her daddy.) She didn't care if we were in the water or not, she would just walk out until she was floating. It was a little scary, but she had so much fun.
We went to Lake Powell over Memorial Day and Savannah loved it. The weather was chilly, so she never did get in the water, but she had a blast anyway. Steve took her hiking and she couldn't get enough! If you turned your back, she was back up the hill. She played so well with her cousins and they took good care of her.
One of the highlights of the trip for Annie was roasting marshmallows. Any time she sees a fire she asks if we can do marshmallows. She was so happy when we told her yes this time.

It appears that the computer is working again so I'll be back with another update soon.

Woohoo!!!

Annie went poop in the potty! She had been saying throughout the day that she needed to, but then she would just pee. This time she said it and, after sitting there for at least ten minutes, she actually did. She had two accidents today where she waited a little too long to make it to the potty, but I'd say she is doing very well. Of course, she will still go in a diaper if she has one on, but at least she's on the right track.

Potty training...

So yesterday I decided to put some panties on Savannah just to see what would happen. She looks so cute in them! How is it possible that she's old enough to wear them? Anyway, I put her princess potty in the kitchen so she could sit and watch TV if needed. After about twenty minutes, she jumped up off the couch and said she needed to go potty. She sat on the princess potty for a few, then moved to the Dora potty in the bathroom, then went back to the princess potty. After a few seconds, we heard music!!! (The princess potty plays music when it senses moisture.) I was so shocked and proud!

About an hour later she was standing on a chair watching me make dinner. She suddenly realized she needed to go, but it was a little late. I sat her on the Dora potty anyway and she had quite a bit more in her. Again, so proud. After she was finished, she said, "Sorry I got pee on the chair Mommy." Isn't she sweet? Of course, I assured her it was okay.

This morning I had her sit on the potty, but nothing happened. I put her Dora undies on her and she went out back. After fifteen minutes or so she came in and said, "Sorry Mommy, I'll clean it up." She had peed on the patio, but got the broom to try and clean it up. Too cute! I wonder when I'll actually get mad at her for having an accident? Right now I'm just too thrilled with her successes to care about her mishaps.

On Sunday we took Savannah to Bellagio to see the "dancing water." She was really excited when she saw it from the car. As we were walking inside she said, "Mommy, that dancing water is awfully high." Where does she learn to talk like that? Of course, once we were outside watching the show, she just wanted to go back home.

We are excited to come home for the reunion. Annie keeps asking, "Where are we going next week?" By the way, the other day she asked me to write her name, so I wrote Annie. I asked her if that was her name and she said yes. When I asked who calls her that, she said Sherie calls her Annie Brooks. See, she hasn't forgotten you.

Love and miss you all!!!
